Description
The RockyMounts WestSlope 3 Platform Style Hitch Mounted Bicycle Rack is RockyMount's newest addition to their platform style hitch rack selection. The WestSlope is the perfect budget friendly platform rack that does not make contact with the frame of any bike as it secures each bike by the front wheel. The tiered mounting structure (think, stadium seating) eliminates handlebar interference between multiple bikes on the rack keeping them safe from damage. RockyMounts anti-wobble locking hitch bolt ensures a strong, tight and secure fit. The WestSlope folds up and flat against your vehicle when not in use for easy transport and can tilt down 30 degrees to allow for hatch access. The WestSlope 2 is able to transport bikes up to 40lbs each. The WestSlope fits wheelbases ranging from 36" to 50", wheel sizes from 20" to 29", and tires up to 3" wide. The WestSlope Lock Kit is sold separately (see below). The WestSlope platform hitch rack is not meant for use with class 1 hitch receivers or bikes with fenders. A fit check is required prior to use on cargo vans. Depending on the manufacturer of the hitch, width of the handlebars, and wheelbase on the intended vehicle, an 8" Hitch Extension may be necessary.
