Description

Yakima 8004083 DeckHand Saddles, Kayak Cradles, Kayak Carriers are designed to securely carry and protect all kayak designs, including sea kayaks, whitewater kayaks, plastic hulls, fiberglass hulls, Kevlar hulls, short boats and long boats. Universal mounting hardware fits most factory installed and name brand crossbars. When DeckHand's tie down straps are tightened, the flexible saddle shape grips your kayak snugly and securely forms to the hull to fit and hold your kayak firmly. Yakima's 4083 DeckHand saddles are sold in pairs. 2 pairs are required for each boat (one pair for the front bar, one pair for the rear crossbar). Yakima 8004082 HandRoll load assist rollers may be substituted on the rear crossbar on wagons, SUVs and pickup trucks to provide roll-on loading and unloading (sold separately). Heavy-duty tie down straps are included to securely fasten your kayak to your DeckHand Saddles. Bow and stern tie down straps are included and strongly recommended to prevent movement caused by crosswinds and sudden stops and accelerations. Anti-scuff pads are included and recommended for optimal protection of gel coated and composite kayaks. The DeckHand Saddles are lockable and compatible with Yakima crossbars, Thule crossbars, and most other aftermarket and factory installed bars out of the box (SKS Lock Cores sold separately). Tool free installation makes setup and boat width adjustments fast and easy.
